While i was at it, crocheting i mean and of course testing my new crochet hooks, i took on the tasc of a tunic.
Crazy for someone who doesn't really like crocheting, i know.

It's another Drops Design pattern

The yarn is Performance Simple Cotton.

Yes, Cygnets Essentially cotton was on offer. Unfortunately it's a discontinued yarn. A shame really. It knits very well and it feels very soft.

And yes it is another Drops Design Pattern

Selling Sewing Material

Posted by Crazy Knitter22 at 11:20 am 0 comments
I usually don't do that here, but i would to reach as many as possible.

I am selling my stash of sewing and crafting materials on eBay

The reason is a few years ago i was creating custom made skirts and sold them on eBay. Not just because i wanted to support my 3D hobby but also because i like sewing. I still do but my first love is knitting.

Anyway someone saw my skirts on eBay and got in touch with me. He told me that he had a grant from the government for his store and that he would like to sell my skirts. I was excited that someone noticed me. And i said i would be glad to provide his store with my skirts.
He asked me to make around 50 skirts in different sizes. So i went and bought material and i sat almost day and night at the sewing machine to get it ready.

Once i had them all done i emailed him that the skirts are ready for shipping.
Then came the bombshell. He had changed his mind regarding what the shop was going to sell and that my skirts would no longer fit in.
I felt numb, angry and disappointed.
I sat on 50 skirts i tried to shift through eBay. I sold maybe 15. Everyone who bought one was delighted, which cheered me up. But i lost all the confidence and spirit and once that's gone you can not get ideas for new things either.

So this is the story why i finally sell all the stuff.

I have started with lace trims, but there will be also fabric, waist bands and more later on.
It takes time to photograph, measure and prepare the listing for everything.

Thanks in advance if you decide to bid on my items. It is highly appreciated.

I do ship worldwide!!

Just a quick update

Posted by Crazy Knitter22 at 12:24 pm 0 comments
I am terribly behind with posting new stuff. The reason is i was rather busy with eBaying the last couple of months and i just didn't find the time or energy to update the blog.

I have finished quite a lot of new items, i need to take pictures and post here.

At the moment i have a crochet top on the go.
I think i mentioned this before i am not a keen crocheter but sometimes when i see something i like i can overcome this "i don't really like crocheting" feeling.

I started the model Kos out of  the Rowan Knitting & Crochet Magazine 53

I had 500g of Red Heart Cotton Mix which works fine but i have to use a crochet hook 3.5 to get it about the same size.

Anyway i have just simple aluminium hooks and they have started to hurt my hand because i hold them like knitting needles not like a pencil. I never could manage to crochet that way. It goes against my hand in a way.
So i was looking for some more suitable crochet hooks for my way of holding. And i have found some.
I have ordered a few sizes and i hope they will be much more comfortable.
For my followers from the UK i found them at Woolstack for £6.50 each.
