Waistcoat for Hubby

 I finished 2 days spare hubby's Xmas pressie.

Zipped Waistcoat. Pattern is available here

The yarn used is Sirdar Harrap Tweed DK

It turned out really nice. There was just the issue with the zip on the collar. I didn't like the way it looked and first thought of adding a piece of fabric to cover it up but then I thought I just knit a few rows and then fold it over. Not it looks neat.

Montana Waistcoat

I am a bit behind with updating. Unfortunately I caught bronchitis in March and didn't do much for a good week and it took another week and a half for the cough to go away.

Anyway, I made myself another Sirdar Montana waistcoat.

One size smaller.

It's Design 9645 out of the Sirdar Montana Pattern book.

I have no clue what the shade is called as I bought it without bands.

Knitted after a modern pattern.

Waistcoat Country Tweed

This yarn was on offer, so i could finally make the waistcoat i bought the patterns ages ago.

It's King Cole Country Treed DK Shade 161 Glens

and the

Pattern is King Cole 3831 double knit

It's such a soft yarn and snuggly yarn, like the King Cole Riot.

That the colour pattern is level, was not deliberate, It was rather a surprise.

Finally got round to knit this waistcoat. I must have bought the yarn and pattern over a year ago.

We all know how this works with us knitters. You see something and you want to make it and then you see another piece and you want to make this even more and then you see.... You get the idea.

It is lovely yarn to knit with.

In case you are interested. Because i knit rather a lot i needed a cheap source for buttons. So i went to look for whole sale buttons and i found a seller on eBay from ShangHai.
I ordered 5 different types of wooden buttons. They arrived very quickly (approx 10 days) The buttons were packed in small bags with a silica gel pouch.
The buttons are from excellent quality. Throughout no complaints regarding material and colour.
