Xmas CAL Cushion

The basic patterns was from the Deramores Christmas CAL.

I just found the original appliques too boring.

I found these @ Lovable Loops

The tassles weren't added to the original either.

Xmas CAL Deramores

I had a 25% off voucher to get this CAL set so I bought it.

They also made a KAL but I didn't see anything interesting.

If you just want the patterns they are free.

So far, I have made the 2 baubles and the coasters.

I have started the stocking. But instead of just plain white top I will give it a furry one.

Next I will probably make the placemats and then the cushion.

When I know what I have left over I will probably add some other things

Moorland CAL

I finally made the Moorland CAL which I had the yarnpacklying around for ages.

A Spicier Life CAL

I just finished the "A Spicier Life CAL"

I used the Bollywood colour pack

I really enjoyed making it. Probably that's why it only took me a week.

I bought the yarn from BlackSheepWools

There are 3 Stylecraft and 1 Debbie Bliss colour packs to choose from.

Or just pick your own colours.

You will have quite some yarn left over so you should be able to make a couple of cushion covers from the rest.

Hygge CAL

I have started with one of the planned Hygge Shawls.

I am just not the start and stop person. So I am waiting for the CAL to finish and then I will make both.

I bought this and the Mermaid colour pack.

I have also bought some backing fabric.

I'll add those pictures later.

I and lots of others struggled with the surface crochet.

I thought embroidery and used the chain stitch. It works very well.

It's pretty easy to do without knowing any Dutch.

Frida's Flower Blanket

I took a break from knitting and mastered another crochet blanket.

This time it's Frida's Flower Blanket.

The yarn is the usual suspect called Stylecraft Special DK.

You can buy the colour pack from Wool Warehouse or create your own colour combination.

Crochet Girl Gang CAL 2

After a bit of a hiccup with stitch counting (Not at my end the pattern was wrong in my humble opinion) I had to redo 50% of the squares,

Gone Blanket Crazy

As I mentioned in an earlier post I am making the Crochet Girl Gang CAL in both colours.

3 weeks finished.

That's how it looks atm.

I made the Lily Pond CAL close to the original colours and gave it away as birthday gift.

Which was a massive success but I also got the request to make another for the other settee.

I am not the one who likes to make the same stuff twice. But then I spotted that Stylecraft released a new colour version of Lily Pond.

I thought, yeah! I don't mind making another in a different colour.

I am already making the last pieces after a good week.

The new Lily Pond version is called Cherry Blossom.

It looks so stylish.

So that's another Xmas present sorted.

Browsing through eBay I found a simple blanket pattern I knew I could finish in time.

I will be using Paintbox Chunky yarn.

I went for

4 x 314 Pillar Red

4 x 316 Melon Sorbet

Stylecraft Lily Pond

Seems I have completely forgotten to post about this one.

I made this one in January 2016

I used my own colours in Stylecraft Special DK

I gave it to my Sis - in - law for her birthday.

Crochet Girl Gang CAL

I started Crochet Girl Gang CAL a few days ago in both colour versions.

I really love the Paintbox yarn.

It is very soft a crochets very well. Really good quality acrylic yarn.

Btw so far this CAL works well for beginners. You don't need to have lots of experience.

The lady's have also made videos and the patterns are easy to understand.

Go for it if you want to make a gift for someone. There will be enough time to get it finished by Xmas.

Scrap Blanket

After I had finished my a Block a Week blanket Steve was asking 'Where is mine?'

Well, here it is.

It's based on the Spice of Life CAL just wider and longer and I added a few patterns from other stripy CALs

Again Stylecraft Special DK.

Still have enough left over for another.

Block a Week CAL 2014

After 4 weeks it finally is done.

Love it!

I can only recommend it.

Dedri's photo tutorials are brilliant. So really even if you are a beginner you can do it.

Please be aware that some of the blocks aren't free any more and one of them has completely gone. I believe about 4 patterns I had to purchase. But there are plenty of free patterns that could replace those blocks.
