For Hubby

Posted by Crazy Knitter22 at 12:01 pm 0 comments

I've gone all vintage on this. I bought quite a while ago a bag of yarn from the charity shop. That was actually before I started with all the vintage knitting patterns. I stored it away in a box. I didn't forget it. When I bought a job lot of vintage knitting patterns, it included a few patterns that were made for the yarn I have. I have enough for two garments, a slipover and a pullover. The slip over is finished.

And then hubby asked for red socks. Who could deny such a request? Nobody! I added a simple pattern to make the look less boring and it helped me count.

Sock Intermission

I knitted a few socks not because I needed them but more because I know I finish a pair in a short amount of time and that's rather a good feeling when you knitted something that took an annoying long time.

I mean the cowl. It's finished but somehow didn't make it on a photo. LOL

I actually made a pair with this yarn and when I wanted to wear them I realised the pattern made them impossible to get them on. So unravel and new plain socks.

These have been stored away in a cute bag for the past probably 12 month and now they finally made it. I bought this yarn and more shades on holiday a few years back.

This yarn I bought last year if I remember right. They are very soft. But in the beginning you can smell the vinegar. I don't know how long lasting they will be because they are just merino yarn.

And something bright. I love this Schoppel yarn. It knits up so well.

Xmas Treat Box

Posted by Crazy Knitter22 at 3:19 pm 0 comments

I received a 15% off voucher code from Wool'n'Stuff and while looking what I could get I stumbled over the Christmas Treat Boxes in 3 versions, knitting, crochet and socks.

I treated myself to the sock box. It arrived really quickly. I opened the box in anticipation. I wasn't disappointed 😍. Everything was beautifully packed and wrapped. It contained 2 balls of excellent quality sock yarn, a tree ornament (cute 💖), a notebook, a tin with stitch markers, a tape measure, a kit for tree decoration, a white chocolate and a hot chocolate treat (I had that yesterday and it was very tasty 😋)

I hope it was a success for Wool'n'Stuff and they will make these boxes again. They are a wonderful gift for any knitter, crocheter or sock enthusiast. 👍👍 up from me.

Bed Socks

Posted by Crazy Knitter22 at 11:31 am 0 comments

My mum asked me if I could knit her some bed socks for the neighbour. They were talking, and she mentioned her old ones had wholes.

The first two are knitted from vintage patterns. Knitted with 2 strands of 4ply sock yarn. The last is just a simple sock but knitted a little loser, so they are comfy in bed. I enforced the heels with contrast 2ply yarn.

Another Lost Pair

No idea why I kept forgetting to share these.

Also a very nice yarn. Not as soft as the one before, but I also love the colours. It gives a beautiful stitch definition.

Lost Socks

OK, not really lost. I just forgot to share these.

When I first got this yarn, I thought I had bought a bottle of vinegar. 😂 But after a while the smell faded. It's actually very, very soft yarn. So snugly. Loved knitting these. And the colours are just gorgeous. 😍

Gifts for my mum

Posted by Crazy Knitter22 at 12:26 pm 0 comments

I knitted my mum a few things.

2 pairs of socks, a reflective hat and gloves and a reflective headband. To keep her toes warm and so people can see her walking across the street.

Looks like I didn't take pictures of everything LOL.

Happy New Year

Posted by Crazy Knitter22 at 11:56 pm 0 comments

 First of all

Happy New Year everyone!

I know I have been very quiet lately but that has more to do with the fact that I was actually very busy knitting but the weather is so gloomy atm I just can't get good pictures without getting my big photo light out. And then there is the issue with my back. It get really painful after a short while and that's another reason why I struggle to get the pictures done. And I should press a few things to get better pictures as well. I hope I will have a few good days soon I can use to take pictures.

Anyway, I have opened all 4 advents boxes from Hobbii and I have knitted everything. I have to confess I changed the sock yarn. I just couldn't see ruffles on camouflage colours. 😂
